Alexandra and Steve's Wedding
It was a gorgeous summer day at the Illahee Hills Country Club in Salem, Oregon. A white dress billowed against the brilliant blue sky. The estate hummed in anticipation of what was to follow. Alexandra and Steve were inside getting ready to finally marry the love of their lives. They met each other many years ago before they traversed through nursing school, graduate school, and all the adventures that led them to this moment. Steve and his groomsmen lingered around the pool table while laughter peeled from the room as they revealed their matching muscle man sock with matching faces of the groom. I knew it was going to be a fun day. Alexandra and her bridesmaids were totally relaxed and soaking in each moment of the morning. The clink of champagne glasses signaled the start of a new journey.
As Alexandra was escorted down the aisle surrounded by loved ones, a single sunflower held an honored front seat. This was in memory of her beloved father. Steve’s father was also close to their hearts and memory. It was so touching how they honored the memory of these loved ones. I’m sure they would be so proud of Steve and Alex and everything they’ve become. Moments later two became one as they celebrated down the aisle in style. The entire day was a lovely blend of sentiment and carefree fun. We finished the day with some sunset photos over the course that wouldn’t have been complete without a photo bombing from their hilarious groomsmen flexing their muscles and wearing only their vests. It was just right. I was honored to be a small part of their day by capturing these moments for generations to come. I hope you enjoy some of the highlights from their day.
